05 GSR v.s. MR weight difference

OK......MR is supposed to be around 25lbs lighter than the GSR due to the aluminum roof, 2lbs per wheel reduction and I think thats about. For 05, all the EVOs get a lighter trunk lid and lighter side door beams. I read an article yesterday (I believe the new Sport Compart Car) and they said that b/c the MR gets a heavier 6spd trans that the GSR and MR will be pretty much the same weight.

Honestly I still dont see the FUSS about the MR. Its really overated and offers as much as the GSR minus the BBS, suspension and 6spd. The 6spd is pretty much just as good at the 5spd. The wheels and and suspension can all be added on to the GSR afterwards. The reason I like the GSR over the MR is b/c I want the sun, sound leather pkg. What do yu guys think.........they both have ACD, More power, revised turbos/lines.

Ya i know what you mean... its albout owning the " best" whether it be the same car with different badging or have the mods to make it well worth what it cost. Honestly If you ask me I wouldnt buy an MR unless it was atleast an FQ340... I mean the GSR will be more then enough for 80% of the people who buy an evo... the MR owners will either be racing it around or just showing it off.... Not driving to and from work or runing a family around in it. I think the biggest gain for mitsu is that they finally figured out how bad they messed up by taking the ACD out of the drivetrain and not making revisions to support those changes... My guess is first off theres going to be like 50%+ less complaints about clutch problems

OH well just have to wait and see i guess
