Toyo RA1 275/35/18's on our shop MR. Our driver thought the Hoosiers would shave around 1 second off our time around Streets of Willow.

Hi Ralph. It was a very pleasant surprise to see you guys again! Welcome to the Sunny California... where you can track all year long, every weekend if you'd like. :-) Let the track whoring begin! When my friend asked me to enter his bone stock MR in the shoot out, I can't say no. Guess what showed up on Sunday... Atom Ariel it weights 450 kg (about 1000 lbs), and is powered by Honda DC5R K20A (220 bhp) with 6 speed transmission. The car is rediculously fun... I've got to get me one.

Robi, lets set up a mini meet/dyno day at Tuning Tech so the Inland Empire folks to get familiar with this new resource. Between your crew and the folks IE and I can round up, we should be able to get a nice gathering...

Sorry, I'm again.

Thanks from Mitsubishi R&D

It was great to see all of the Tuners, Mitsuphytes, and future Mitsuphytes (you know who you are,...), make such a strong showing at Willow for the shootout. Thank you, Ahron for putting it all together, (John Mueller, Mike, Rob, and Crew) at Road Race, Robert Fuller, Pete & Company at Works, Emile Bouret (Sparco), Neil, SoCalEvo.net, EvolutionM.net, Mo, Res, and all the others I've yet to meet. Hopefully folks got the chance to check out the EVO VI and VII we brought, as well as the Muellerized Galant,... it uhh, handled better than a stock EVO. SACRILIDGE! you may shout,.. but oddly true,... needs bigger brakes though.

Mitsubishi,... (R&D especially) are FINALLY!! finally working to become more involved (with NO BUDGET YET!! HA!!,.. err?). Thanks to all you loyalists and newbies who have been quietly and not so quietly supporting us for decades. We get it. We will be working to link up with all DSM/Mitsubishi clubs and tuners. ALL of them from Starion to EVO and all models before and between, coast to coast. We hope to be able to support more events in the future.

ARigato gozaima****a, and thanks, Wallace Preston MRDA

To get an idea how fast our Evos are, I suggest everyone go to Aaron B's Speedventures site here: http://www.speedventures.net/event_results.asp
Scroll and click on all the SOW - CW track days and compare them our cars. Also, the race prepped but stock turboed Vishnu car turned several 2:01s at Thunderhill this weekend. Wow! I'm really proud to be an Evo owner.

tuner shoot out

Hi every one,

We are the little guys and I would like to congratulate Road Race and Mueller on their victory. We had every thing go wrong for us but no excuses here . We will try again next time. I want to thank the evom folks and the event organizers for letting us register at the last minute. As for tires we were running 255 45 17 Kumho victo racers. We will not be using those next time. Any ways it was fun and a great learning experience. We will be back....

Not to go off-track, but can someone post (in another thread maybe) about the Toyo R888, where we can get them, how fast they heat up and what offset and width is required to run a 275?

Toyo R888's are not out yet. I think Robi and WORKS might have the only sets in the US currently.

I know the Volk 57S, 17x8.5, +40 offset will let you run 275/40/17.
