Rob moved from the Ra1's to the 888's and picked up almost 3 seconds /lap (888's have a better sidewall design) SO SPAM TOYO WITH REQUESTS FOR THIS TIRE AND THE WILL IMPORT IT!!!! (yes I know that I'm yelling)

Scroll and click on all the SOW - CW track days and compare them our cars. Also, the race prepped but stock turboed Vishnu car turned several 2:01s at Thunderhill this weekend. Wow! I'm really proud to be an Evo owner.
Holy crap! You guys were running some very wicked times at SOW...

Those Thunderhill times are awesome too...

Good find Tom

Congratulations to the Old Man

My apologies for the delayed web-congrats Robbie........ I just got permission to post on here tonight after signing up on Sunday (what up with that Mark??).

Wanted to say thanks to all of the people who I came across at the shootout. It was great meeting all of you. Also nice to see that, although I've read a ton of bickering on this site over the last few months, all of that seems to be cast aside once you all come together (Paul, we missed you out there). The EVO community seems pretty solid.

A few people I'd like to thank also --------

John Muller -- Are you kidding me with that suspension set-up??? Totally transformed the Sparco car. What a joy to drive now.

Robbie -- Thanks for your kind words in regards to our car (& my driving). After a frustrating weekend, it was nice to read. Again, congratulations. As the great Roger Penske says, "Effort equals results." You deserved the win. Hope to have more for you next time we meet.

Al, & Mike @ Sparco -- You're soldiers. Thanks for all your hard work (sorry to let you down).

Scott @ Sparco -- Thanks for the opportunity to drive the Sparco car once again. Every time I get in that thing, it impresses. For a showcar, it really is an impressive racecar!

Look forward to seeing you all next time.

EB

ROAD/RACE

IS this going to be a higher priced tire than the RA-1?
is it looked at as the flagship track/race tire, or just a different configuration?

Not sure about pricing yet. It is not my call. I tested them back to back at the event. Same compound but different carcass. Very impressive ddifference between RA1 and 888.

Remember the 888's I used cut a 1:25.12 in qualifing and was a faster time than all of the Hoosier cars. (third fastest time of the day)

Big Thanks!

Hey Guys!

A bit laggy on the follow up post here.... Sorry!

Anyhow, we just want to give a big thanks to all those that worked to put together this AWESOME event! Thanks to Mark and the EvoM crew and all those who participated. Congrats to Robi for handing some a$$ out there

Sorry we couldn't make it to the party afterwards. We had some stuff to raffle off for you guys but we couldn't find the "Baja Cantina." We asked around for about an hour and just decided to head back.

Also wanted to give thanks for all of our sponsorrs. Without them, we would have never have put the car together in time. Thanks to:

AEM
ATP
Crower
CWings
Seibon
Yokohama
Recaro
ARC
Project Mu
Volk Racing
Schroth

And a very special thanks to the folks at Harman Motive. They did a great job putting up with/tuning the car (especially when it didn't cooperate). Check em out at http://www.harmanmotive.com They've got a great tuning program there and are all around nice guys!

Definitely looking forward to the next event! Although, I don't think 245's and Tein Flex's will cut it anymore. You guys are running some serious hardware.

Thanks again!
