Official evolutionm.net / Speed Ventures Evo Shootout Presented by DSport Magazine
Get a grip guys, if you placed in the top three great job, if not hopefully you at least had some fun. Who's car has more HP? Who's car has faster tires? Who was the faster driver? Who cares? Both camps are trying to rationalize why a mild daily driver placed .2 seconds behind a race car or why Paul Gerrard lost to a beginning racer, give it up. Maybe you could get your theoretical race timer and program in their modifications, tires and suspension and then find out who "really" won? If you want to compete come to the time attack challenge this weekend.

The only reason why some are bringing things to light is because of the past smack talking that was going on in other threads. Whinners always stand out and they always cry about the same thing over and over like a broken record.
Vishnu has got bigger and better events to compete in. Events like the 25hr enduro they compete in are more brutal to both car and driver. IMO, it's also a more rewarding move marketing and publicity wise.
When Mitsubishi and publications like Car&Driver invite you to drive their car or compete in an event with them vs. going to an Evo only event with limit exposer. Well.... Shiv and Paul are probably gambling men to choose not to go to the latter. Let's see the payoff next week.

Please, PLEASE show me where I talked trash about Tom's car with Paul driving as you say you "know has been done." At the event I said hi to Tom since it was good to see him again out at the track. My memory is a little hazy, but I also recall congratulating him for his car's performance with Paul at the wheel. Perhaps you should stop "simply" pointing out things since the things you are pointing out are "simply" wrong.
On topic, after this weekend and talking to various entrants in the EvoM Tuner Time Attack, I'm even more excited to see fast cars driven by fast drivers this weekend, no matter who wins.

. All kent has in addition is the cage (safety reasons of course, interior remove and better tires of course) The car is tune with the SAFC running 100 octane. I think a better way to compare things would of been with Otto driving the car (POC instructor) or even Mueller since they have the experience behind it, since Kent has 6 months of instruction (which has been cover before).

I might try to swing by Sat morning, since I don't have to be at work until 1:30pm. If they don't mind me being an hour late, I can stay for the shootout. I plan to take tons of pics and post them here for you guys.
whenever you're not running. Speedventures likes having as much track time as possible. I don't know how they coordinate that with the course workers, but when I'm able to drive 2+ hours on track in one day for $120, I'm not complaining.

what about us "pros" (?!?), we are the real experts when it comes to making expensive paperweights! We just specialize in making other people's paperweights
(not your car Tom
)
there are three sessions after the actual EVO TUNER SHootout.. why not give us more sessions in the morning then have the shootout later in the day rather than right at lunch time..
