Ahhh, internet drag racing. Should I be paying admission?

On a sadder note, I will be skipping this event since it's the same day as the final autocross in my region. Not that it's going to make a difference in season points, but I need experience driving the H Stock Suzuki Swift I'll be codriving next year... unless any Cal Club guys want to offer me a seat in an Evo.

I was planning on not taking the Sparco car to the EvoM Tuner Shootout next weekend, as I will be travelling for business and I heard Vishnu will not be there with the red car. Shiv, is there any way to send the red car down with Paul and a mechanic or two?

I have reorganized some schedules today for a few guys in our office, and am now going to send our car. Shiv, is there a way to rethink the decision to skip the event. You can attend the 25hrs and the shop car and Paul can compete at Streets of Willow. Win-Win? right?

Oh I cannot wait for this... I will sleep in my Evo overnight if I have to...

Scott - do you think I can get a check ride at this event or would it be better to still call for a weekday in Irvine?

Since Paul in one of the four drivers at the 25Hr race, it's not that easy.

Also, you were going to the evom shootout but decided not to because we won't have our car there? Come on Scott Are you saying the utter thrashing you guys got (with Rhys driving no less) by our buddies at BOZZ a couple of weeks ago at the B-willow time attack had anything to do with it?

i think robi's just mad he cudnt beat a *vishnu* car, remember that 2pac song, u aint **** without your homeboys? you didn't beat him, but someone beat smoggie's car, you don't see him pms'ing everywhere. stop relying on others to do something you cant. grow up.

oh i also just realized the obvious, you robi, super racer, got beat by someone that's been driving for 6 months, and has less mods than ur car. so by trashing smoggie's car you're also trashing your own car..

Ok, I've signed up for the shootout instead of the drivers school. Should be a good time, even thought the car is virtualy stock. Got a "Lame Christmas Sweater Party" to go to the Saturday evening on the 4th. Not only will my car be "stock slow", the driver will also be hung over on Sunday.

You guy's should all stop hate'n on each other. At least save it for the track and take each other out, so I can have a decent finish!

I want to encourage everyone to go to Saturday's big event. The Evom Tuner Shootout should be awesome. I also really wish Vishnu could be there! Anyway, I would like to thank Mark and Rich (EOC organizers) for all their efforts to organize this event. It was a lot of fun. It was great seeing all the SoCal guys who were all, without exeption, totally cool to hang out with: John M, Kent J. (Congrats!), Robi, Alfredo, Paul K, Bevo, etc. A huge thanks goes to Paul for agreeing to come out a day early to CA and drive my car and give me some valuable instruction. Also, thanks to IE and Santhology for helping out and hanging out. Oh yeah, thanks to Shiv for the incredibly reliable tune. Paul and I beat on the car all day on both the 91 and c16 map without the slightest glitch. Ran fantastic! BTW, that is the same exact map/tune that I did the 11.9 1/4mile with. Pretty cool to not only have a car in the (high)11s but also be able to road race it three sessions on the same tune and run a 1:26.2 at Streets OfWillow CW. ONCE AGAIN, EVERYONE SHOULD DO THEIR BEST TO MAKE THE EVOM SHOOTOUT THIS WEEKEND!
