As usual, just messing with you. What are you two driving down in, the Subi? Have you replaced the Evo yet?

Yes *my* wife. I hope to get a Ford Focus since I heard those are really balanced cars. Any truth to that? If any people live in Northern California and want to check out the EvoM Tuner Shootout, we are organizing a convoy down to this event. Please check out this thread if you are insterested in convoying down with us.

And that was just an off-the-shelf Stage 1+ you got whooped by. Our little red "shop car" with hoosiers, race differentials, another 200bhp, a bit of weight reduction and loads more development time is just a tiny bit quicker around a track
All chiding aside, I'm sorry only our test driver and smogrunner could make it. Honestly, I would have liked to meet all you guys down there and try to put some of the e-hostility aside. I think we would get along a bit better in person than we do when we're all sitting behind computers.

Shiv

If so, he edge out smoggies street car (with RA1s on stock rims) by .2 seconds. Kent drove really well from what I heard. Came in first overall. Smoggie's car came in 2nd. Robi's car came in 3rd, some 1.4s behind, IIRC.

yes it is, IMO you can not compare Kent to Paul since Kent is still a rookie compare to Paul (since is all about driver) also remember that Kents car only has a few goodies compare to Smoggies c-16 11's monster. Also stock turbo compare to the 6.5RS TME (since i have been told it gives some nice midrange #'s with a nice tq ) it tells me that upgradeing to the 6.5RS turbo its worth it.

BTW, just got off the phone with paul and smoggie. They really appreciated the hospitality that all you guys (robi, john mueller, kent, etc,.) had to offer. We look forward to coming down again.

Mueller’s "student" (of less than 6 months race driving) beat your pro (I enjoyed meeting you Paul) with a STOCK turbo UNFLASHED- AFC piggyback JIC car.
so let's set the record straight.
Your piggyback cost more (3X +)
Your exhaust cost more
Your suspension costs more
Smog's dumped a ton on dyno time (I didn’t know all “off the shelf” Stage 1’s came with this) and drove 6 hours each way for the privilege!
Smog has a (small) but still upgraded turbo (do all of your "off the shelf" Stage 1's come with this???
Your Pro is a Pro driver
You placed SECOND Your Socalevo groupies want to know, how do you like them apples?
PS we have a new joke in So cal...How can you tell when shiv's telling a lie? (Hint his lips are moving) or in this case his fingers are typing. (See above “off the shelf statement”)
I placed third and the fuel pump finished dying as I was unloading the car off the trailer
(It was very comforting to know that sputtering from the EMS protecting my car with the fuel pump dying, blocked by a car who spun and only giving less than 3/4 lap "at speed" I was less than a second behind Smog/Paul) Surprised the hell out of me too. I wasn't even trying (and yes I still am pissed at myself for not upgrading the fuel system sooner)
So next time think on this, after watching "your car" Mueller knew his student could "cover your pro" Mueller is 2 seconds faster than Kent same track same car (and he's MUCH faster than me too). Bring a V car down (SHOP car) put us in "our place", otherwise "If you can't/won't put up shut up"
Thanks for the publicity. I wasn't going to say a thing about Paul losing to a student Race driver. Guess you couldn't help your self.
(Note to self, talk to Paul about the “friends” he keeps)
Cheers ;-).
