apexi TT

ok my buddy with his evo 8 is gettin a Apexi Turbo Timer soon from http://www.velocityfactor.net/Script...?idproduct=659 and i have 2 questions. ive been searching for install guides and found 2 diff ones. i found one that connects to the ignition area and one taht connects the the ECU computer area in the glove box...
1. which one will we use with the harness u buy there on that site? 2. when connecting the wires from the harness to the spots in the ecu area ( if thats where we go ) do i jsut splice into the wire that goes into the slot that i need the reading from ... so like for the O2 sensor i jsut splice into it for the reading/power of it?
thanks

^^ I have this exact same TT, I bought mine from lancershop.com along with the harness they have on there. On that velocity factor site you're going to use that scroll down box and select the Lancer Evolution 8 one for $14. Just wondering where do you live? I live about 10 minutes from velocity factor...

I have the Apexi TT along with the harness, the harness is so you can connect it to the ignition area, once you do that you will need to run one wire to the ebrake wire, one to the ECU O2 sensor, and the black one just needs to be grounded.

i have an evo ix and installed the apexi tt. the manual timer and volt gauge work, but for some reason the autotimer and o2 gauge don't work. the o2 gauge reads 0.01 - 0.05 when it's warm and as the rpms and speed go up it goes up to ~ 0.09 and then back down. the a/f guage reads 16.0 - 18.0.
the o2 wire i used was pin 71 (C1 - white) on the ECU. from the factory it's about a 5" long white wire with gray electrical tape and on the other side is a thicker green wire
i'm pretty sure since the VIII has two o2 sensors that the IX does also. could my problem be that i hooked the o2 wire to the rear o2 sensor?
i noticed on the pin out chart for the IX that on pin 3 (A3 - blue/red) it says "o2 heater cont", is this the wire it should be connected to??
