Which way does my forge dv valve mount?

just got my forge dv valve not sure which side mounts to the intercooler pipe and which to the intake side. There are no marking or did it come with any instructions. Does the bottom of the piston go to the ic pipe side or to the intake side thanks

The side with the base of the piston should go towards the ic pipe side. If you put it in the other way it will not open.

If you are using stock piping, then you should have it turned the other way so the positive pressure in the intercooler piping helps open the DV, otherwise it will not open between shifts.

Mine has not failed me yet and is serving its purpose very well. The only time I had it turned the other way was the first time I installed it and it would not open creating a very loud screeching sound (like a choking bird ) I turned it so that the nipple would face up and now I have an awesome DV.

lets make it simple for everyone:
On all BOV's the opening with the round metal shaft needs to face/directed/connected to the intake (the pipe that the air cleaner/filter is connected to) for recirculation!
The side that you cannot see anything/that is closed by the ring/cap (yes the one you can push open) needs to face/connected to the intake that is going directly to the intake manifold!

I've had mine installed both ways with the stock piping and no problems either way!
