Head removal question..help

Use the stock head gasket on the AMS stroker engine with boost at 25 psi...leaking after 4,000 miles. Ordered new Cometic like I wanted to initially and wanted to know if the head will clear with the intake (stock) manifold still on her ? Exhaust will come off obviously. Looks like the clearance for the rear intake gets awfully close to the sheet metal in front of windshield..about 5 1/2" from highest point of intake to metal while head is 6+d" + thick. Any other hints will be much appreciated. Am ordering AMS's tensioner tool along with gasket today.

Thanks,

Craig

just a question. but by removing the head. you have to loosen the timing belt. so would that possibly get your ballance shafts out of time with your oil pump???
