Removing the factory govenor

Removing the factory govenor

How can i disconnect the govenor from my car? i've heard its right behind the dash and above the pedals, any words on how to?

I thought it was programmed into the ECU so you would have to either get a stand alone or reflash.

Are you talking about the rev limiter that is activated when the clutch is in? If so, there is a connector above the clutch pedal that you can disconnect to inactivate it.

If you mean the 155 MPH speed governor, you're going to need a ECU reflash.

like it was said you need a flash to eliminate the top speed limiter. but if you do that Al can raise your launch limiter thru the flash for whatever you want it set at,(most people go with 6k) or you can disconnect it.search and you will find directions how to unplug it.

is there a governor on the IX.. when i pulled my image off my ecu it showed max value..
