Valve Spring Tool?

Alright, I searched with no success. I am going to install my revolver cam kit next week, and I am comfortable with everything except changing the valve springs. The only time I have ever done it is with the head off of the car, so I am wondering how it is done? Is there a special tool I need? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Also, I am going to try to find all thread and make my own tensioner tool, but if I cannot find the all thread, is there anyone in So Cal that can rent one to me, or direct me where to buy one and get it by Friday? Thanks
