DIY Black out your Evo headlights

I always do my own work. As for the headlights heres my advice from experience. If you choose to do them make sure you have the rest of the night free. I suggest openning them with a heat gun only because baking them involves you taking the bulbs and wiring out and risking things. So you start at one end and heat it and pry and heat and pry ever so smoothly though the headlight housing is soft but the lense is hard so dont worry about that. Once you get the lense off what I do is I heat the factory glue and take it out, all of it. Otherwise it will be hard to put back together. Take the glue off of the rim of the lense as well, youll see where it is. take the chrome part out, it should come out pretty easily. Take the whole thing and scuff it with like a brillo pad or 1500 grit sand paper. wash all of the dust off and make sure its COMPLETELY dry before spraying paint. There is no need for a primer since you scuffed it already. Spray 2 to 3 coats of paint waiting 15 minutes in between coats. For the last coat wait 25 minutes justt to make sure its dry. If your gonna leave the ambers in make sure you take them off to paint it otheriwse they'll get painted too. Take them out verrryyyy carefully, theres an extra clip on the tp of the amber that you have to put a flathead through to unhinge, be careful. Once thats all finished put a brand new unbroken rim of glue around the whole headlight. make sure there isnt anybreaks in the glue becaus tthen it wont seal properly. Also dont be affraid to put a nice rim of glue in there just to make sure, because you can always clean it after you put them together. Take the lense and line it up and push it on to the housing. Put glue where you think might be a little weak on it and then squeez them together and clean up the outside of the light. If you have "C" clamps to hold it together overnight that would be best but if you dont its still ok. Let them dry over night. And your done. Have fun!! (sorry if this was long I just figured you might wanna know this info, plusIm bored right now anyway.
Goodluck
Tom.

P.s. feelfree to make this into a DIY or maybe I will, ok I will.

Just curious, what glue are you talking about - like where could you get it and what is it called? I blacked out my headlights last summer and they are starting to fog up, so I need to take them back apart and redo the glue. Thanks!

Just use black adhesive silicone, which is water resistant.
