forge mbc easier from under car?
forge mbc easier from under car?
how easy is it to install a forge mbc if you can have access to the car from underneath? What’s a good location for the forge mbc after install? any pics? Also, is there any extra tubing needed for the install? Thanks.
Don't do it bad idea, very hard to get to the wastegate/turbo nipples from underneath. Too bad you weren't closer, I'd help you out...I just uninstalled and re-installed my Forge about 6 times the past week. Start by removing the air box, upper intercooler piping and then the intake tube itself and you can get to everything really easy.
There are a couple of location pics in this thread: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ighlight=forge
I just installed it from the top. I found it easier to remove the entire intake system from the turbo. You will need more vacuum hose. I think I used 4mm. get 10ft to be safe. I removed all of the factory hose from the solenoid. Then I used the nipple on the compressor outlet for the input to the mbc then ran the output of the mbc to the wastegate. There is a pretty good write up on the install. There is some variation in what source people use for the pressure input.
