yo evo zone i can send you some of those covers thier not like the light cover's persay but the work w/ no prbs little thicker and longer but all i did w/ them was cut alittle off the bottom and put a splice down one side. and then they work just fine i guess if your intrested PM me your adress and i'll mail em to ya, i'll splice them up if you don't think you can figure it out.

Thanks for the great tutorial. I couldn't find any of the rubber condoms, so I painted the bulbs with 2 coats of fire engine red acrylic craft paint. Works just as well. Looks amazing with my silver and red Sony MP3 Deck!

 

Found rubber condoms but what size are the bulbs they fit over??

The bulbs in the climate controls are small, but I put on big autometer condoms. The plastic piece that sits around the bulbs is perfect for pushing the bigger condom into and holding it there in place. Those Polarg ones look very similar to the shape of the Autometer ones, so if they're about the same size, they'll work too.

 

I did the same thing in my Lancer. I liked it, but it didn't match my head unit. I changed it back and put to blue condoms on each light. Looks better than stock.

 

i found a site that has our bulbs but they are expensive..they have colored ones.

Thanks for the info. I did mine this weekend. Painted the bulbs red, and it looks great. Did you look into doing the same for the lighter and IC spray bulbs?

 

Nope, only tried the climate and radio. I ended up going back to stock after realizing I couldn't change the radio LCD backlight color.

 

I was wondering if u paint the bulbs would it get hot enough that it would melt off the paint. My friend bought a crappy interior bulb and it did this.

sick, how did you change your cig lighter/gear bulbs?

 

What I need is those blue condoms that can fit on the bulbs in the gauge cluster. All the ones in Auto Zone are too big...anyone out there can help, please PM me. Thanx~
