Is it the same if I use a gel battery instead of a liquid one?
Like an Optima?

Hey, is there a site where I can look up these technical requirements? I've been on scca.org and other sites but can't seem to find them.

6 3/4 wide
8" high (not including terminals)

I bought 2 battery boxes.
Anyone want the the 2 brackets I just made?

Yeah seriously.
I did it in my other car, but that one won't see any track time.

This is my daily and my future track car.
Live and learn. More welding.

I did nearly the same thing, 0 gauge to the pos, but ran it up through the door sills.
ran a neg. 4 up to the front to one of those multi wire grounding kits, and another 4 to the body in the trunk.
I used a moroso blue box and put it in the wheel well.

got a pretty neat battery distribution block for the pos in the engine bay. put it in the position where the battery was.

so I'm living on the edge, no spare, no liner.

What do you mean you put it in the wheel well? Under the car?
