when it gets done it will go out the bottom beside the box, although sealing off the trunk "sounds" like a good idea

So it's currently venting into the trunk right?
I'm wondering how dangerous that is. I have an optima battery that I loaned to a friend and now I'm thinking I need to get that back...trying to gauge the sense of urgency

if you drive the car everyday there shouldn't be a problem. If you left the car sitting for like a week then you may have problems.

did you install an in-line fuse by the battery? I just relocated mine to the trunk, but I'd like an in-line fuse just in case somehow the cable tries to short to the body/frame on it's way to the engine bay. Anyone do this? What size fuse is recommended? I'm thinking 120 amp, but I don't know what the starter pulls.

grounding issues

just wanted to point out that with so many grounds you will experience engine noise. You should use 1 to maintain a closed loop.

Dose anyone know of a battery box that fits the stock battery well. I got a talor box from summit, and the dam thing is huge, it wont fit in the side if my trunk w/ my speakers. I've seen the taylor 300 series boxes but i don't think they're tall enough to fit the stock battery>> any ideas would help greatly> later

No they still need a vent, just not as severely as a lead acid battery. they still give off fumes but not nearly as many. mine is vented on the back side out of sight out of the bottom of the car.
