All I did was have my brother hold the blow dryer to the area where the Double side tape was, then I gradually pulled on one side at a time until the wing came off. The Trunk will pull up with wing, since there is also a little clip on each side of the wing that clips into a hole in the trunk.

 

What did think I meant? Use a hair dryer or heat gun if you can get one.

 

 

20lb fishing line works the best, wear leather gloves when you do it also.

 

I had a hard time with this too! Im going to try the blow dryer thing once it gets a bit warmer out!

 

thank you so much guys! i was too lazy to get the fishing line cause i think that would of been a bit strong. but the dental floss worked great. i should of pushed up all the tho while going throught it. umm for the evo 9 i dont know about the evo8s theres the bolt section on the front so itll stop it. but there is a plastic one too ill take pics in a little while. but yeah i thought i gotten all of the tape but i didnt know that that was there and ****. but yeah i just took it really easily now its just the process of getting the doubletape out.


can i go without putting the tape or i shouldnt do that?? cuase i wanna put it on and off.

On top of helping hold the wing on the tape is kind of a pad between the wing and the trunk.. You might mess up your paint pretty good if you don't use tape, plus you don't want it to go flying off

 

I used fishing line, And It worked great!

 

i might do this next, i wnat to get a cf trunk and paint it as a spare, but in the meantime ill remove the wing off the stock one\
