Need help. How do you polish stock strut bar?

OK I've seen a few cars with it done on here. I searched and searched and couldn't find anyone says "how to" polish the strut front strut bar or better pics. Any info. would be great from someone that has done. THANKS!!!

I would imagine it may be easier to get some really good paint stripper instead of sanding.

Maybe get some spray on paint remover like aircraft stripper, or possibly you could get some sort of long container that would hold the bar and fill the container with a liquid that removes paint. Then polish it with metal polish.

To just sand and polish would work but wont it rust? I dont think its made of aluminum.

It is made of stel and it will rust if you just sand it. You could sand it then clear coat it though.

for 100 dollars just buy one... trying to polish this and keep it polished is an exercise in futility.. you spend 3 days trying to do this... if you never polished before dont try on this... do your a/c lines, its alot easier... there already smooth..

Ive done ac lines before I just hate the idea of spending any money on something I have already even if it is only like $100. i'm just gonna paint it gold and do the valve cover the same! That would be cool maybe.
