you could leave the wga duty cycle zero were the boost hits 21 and then add duty cycle accordly to hold it to 21 to redline if thats your target boost.
You dont have a 3 port yet bro?
best $40 I spent

yes, but the boost goes down to 11 psi @4500 only if i pull wot at 3500 or below rpm. If i pul wot @4500, boost stays at 15 psi.
Accordingly, if i want to make duty cyles in order to get 21 psi at 4500 when i pull from low rpms, boost will be too high at 4500 when i pull wot starting at 4500..
wt im trying to say is that boost at 4500 rpm is not consistent, it depends on which rpm i make my wot run...

replaced the smaller pill with the original pill, spikes is lower and taper at 4500 rpm is now 13 psi instead of 11... i'll try removing the pill now, i think this will work but im not going to be able to hold more boost at high rpm's, so i'll be back to square zero :S
i hv a question, if i turn the turnbuckle all the way down without using the spring (while completely removing the pill), will this help hold more boost up on top??? how much do u think i'll hv boost at redline if i run straight wastegate pressure in this case??
thx

you dont need a restrictor for the gm 3port, so just toss that. It should make things easier now. Another question is do you always leave your boost error zero'ed out? If not what are the setting.
you can hold more boost by adding more wga duty cycle up top
to your question yes it will help

no i don't leave them zeroed out, but the prob is there is no point in setting the corrections while i'm still VERY far from achieving my boost curve without them, if you c wt i mean...
i don't hv the 3port, just relying on the stock solenoid for now...
i live in Lebanon, the gm 3 port is not available...
before adjusting the turnbuckle, the pill used to work fine for me, but didn't hold enough boost for me up top. 19.5 psi redline in 3rd, 20.5 in forth (from 6k to 7k, wgdc is set to 127.5
)
that's y i tried the wg thing... but ended up messing the whole thing until now...
i'll just keep trying, worst case senario i'll purchase the bushur actuator which opens at 22-23 psi...

OK i follow now leave the pill in and try these setting bro, they will require some adjustments to fine tune it.
from left to right its
boost control load offset
boost error
boost desire load
wga duty cycle
now you can see were you can now add more wga duty cycle to hold more boost to redline
boost control load offset + boost desire load= Target load

i'll hv to add the load offset by 20, and will increas wgdc by 10% to keep things matched up...
i mean your loads as they are are a bit low for the boost im trying to reach...
i'm aiming at 25 up until 5500 rpm, 23-23.5 6000 rpm, 22.5 6500 rpm, 21.5-22 7000 rpm... i guess adding 10% to your desired loads would match these figures...
i'll give these a try, but from now i know it won't work if i pull wot from low rpms, bcs like i said boost is falling BELOW wg actuator boost with the pill installed (13 psi, where the wg acuator as set now opens at 14.5-15 psi).
completely removing the pill will wipe away this prob, but then again will result in tapering uptop, so i'll try turning the turnbuckle all the way down, and if this is still not enough will add a sping... that's the plan after i try your numbers...
thank you very much for your time/help, really appreciate it
will keep you posted

yeah thats for a 22 psi spike tapering to 21 with stock wga
but this boost desire load should help you out here for your target. I thought 21 was your target LOL.
to be honest man you may get way with leaving the turnbuckle stock, leaving the pill in and add duty cycle up top to hold the boost. I'm pretty confident man, good luck

hey i guys i added just the spring today on my stock evo because id like it to hold more boost till redline. Well it holds boost MUCH better feels much quicker but on 3rd gear and high roll ons and sometimes in 2nd the boost spikes 1.57 bar and hits boost cut(i think its boost cut because the car cuts out). Anyways this is no good to me im not even tuned...is there anything i can do or do i have to just take out the spring for now? Can i use one of the other springs in the box or no?
This only happens on roll ons if i rip through the gears starting in first its fine it spikes about 1.45 bar which is fine and feels great.

Bored at home on a sunday morning I decided to try the spring mod and all I can say is wooow!!!.
First, I only added a similar spring I had laying around and did not adjust the WA preload.
The result, right off the bat, is that it held 25 psi tapering almost 1/2 lb by redline. I had to turn my MBC way down to get it to hold 22lbs I"m tuned for on 93. I have not logged nor tuned it yet and will post results after logging/tuning later on this afternoon .
From the initial test I can feel the difference as boost taper is almost nonexistant and feels much more stronger after letting off the gas and going back on it 100% that's what mattter the most to an autocrosser

I just did this, I have a IX turbo. I normally go 100% WGDC on my GM BCS at 5500rpm, at that point I have 25psi/290load and taper to 21psi/250load at 7000rpm.
After the spring I have 27psi/298load at 5500rpm and 23psi/260load at 7000rpm.
Not sure what that's going to mean for HP but I like it a lot, especially for 5 bucks.
