hks intercooler evo ix

hey i just picked up the evo ix intercooler kit with piping from my distributor today. installed everything but the only problem i ran into is the cast iron piece running into the licp. the problem is the starter hits this piece that hks provided. problem number 2 no instructions were provided with this kit.. has anyone ran into this problem or have a resolution please let me know! much appreciated

an intercooler cant be that hard to install?

yeah well it turns out hks never made a kit for the 9 hence the turbo outlet hitting the starter. my solution i figured out was to use the stock outlet and get a reducer cupling from a 2.5" to 2" in order to use the hks licp. everything runs good now. so heads up if u have a ix keep in mind its not a complete kit with the intercooler!

i had problems installing hks parts on my IX as well. i bought the I/C piping and the upper pipe hits the metal cover of the radiator fans. this happens because EDM cars have a bigger battery than JDM cars. i got a smaller battery and problem solved.
