I just redid my winter wheels about a week ago. I repainted them flat black and it was pretty easy. Just take your time with the prep work and it'll come out fine. I wetsanded the wheels with 400 grit sandpaper just to take some of the paint off. The wheels also had some paint chips on them so I sanded them down so it was smooth and you couldnt see it. Once you have everything smooth and equal with no high spots I used 3 coats of primer and then 4 coats of flat black paint. Just read the directions on the can for drying times because it may differ from brand to brand.

Just keep the wheel/sandpaper wet at all times, it keeps the sandpaper from clogging so you can use it longer!
