Caliper Paint... for Valve Cover?

Has anyone tried this? I bought Dupli Color silver and am going to do my calipers tomorrow. I want to know if anyone has tried this on the valve cover and if so, how did it hold up?

btw- I know powdercoating is the optimal method of doing this, but if it hasnt been done, why not try it

I look forward to the results as trying new things is what it's all about in our community. Some ideas are good...some are not. I personally would give it a shot if I had the time before leaving for Iraq. For example, look at this disaster I tried one day when I was bored. This fell into that "not so good" category...
