It you didnt get it yet, here are the steps. It is really quite easy:

Tools needed: long Phillips head and 10mm socket wrench

- remove the bottom of the dash by unscrewing the two screws at the base, the 10mm bolt behind the tray, and unsnapping the various clips. Then unplug the dimmer and headlight leveler. The whole piece should fall out

- next remove the steering column. There are two screws underneath the column next to the end of the lever. There is one final screw that is underneath towards the back. It is tough to get to because it is at the very end of a long tunnel.

- once those 3 bolts are off, the column just snaps off.

Just to clarify here, you need to remove the 10mm nut behind the hood release latch also.

The clips holding the foot well piece into the dash simply pop right out. Raise your steering wheel all the way up to pry out the right side of that piece.

Also when you are putting things back together, release the steering wheel tilt lever. I kept trying and cursing the lower portion of the steering column and then I realized my stupidity.

LOL, I did the same thing when I installed my turbo timer! Except I used brute strength and screwed it back on. It would keep popping off. Finally I bowed down to my stupidity as well.
