k guys i just put mu invidia O2 on and i turned on the car. started up fine but after a couple of seconds the car started steaming. it doesn't seem like its coming from anywhere in particluar. My thought is thats its the PB blaster steaming up but im not sure. should i just leave the car running and see what happens or....????? any ideas???

Yeah, it's most likely the PB blaster burning off causing the steaming. It should burn off after a few miles of driving.

A little tip since this thread has helped me immensely with my install. Instead of using a torch, since some of us do not have access to this, you can PB blast it, leave it out in 100 degree sunlight and use an 02 remover to take it out.

You can try Rockville mitsu, or one of the local shops in your area. I see your in MD, there's a few evo shops local to you. Give them a call since you need it ASAP.

all is well now. oxy acetylene (spelling uncertain) Gibbs penetrating spray and some reverse threaded drill bits, a little tapping action, and presto! New MAP eliminator pipe installed and it is absolutely worth all of the effort. Scaring pedestrians in a three block radius is indescribable. And the bolts wound up coming from advance auto (10.5 grade steel flange bolts). Mitsu bolts would have been better bit ill take what I can get. Thanks for the help peoples.

How did you bleed the system ? You could have air in the system and cause intermittent over-heating, no ??

Nice write-up by the way!

I didn't see this mentioned anywhere, but it helped me out a lot. Go buy a 14mm open ended stubby wrench to get into the tight spaces around the o2 to turbo bolts. I got mine at Sears. I'm not sure where else they have them.
