boost leak test after installed new throttle body seals and lost more boost!! checked everything was fine but losing drop in boost!! any suggestions?? before was boosting 17psi at 3500rpm..dropping to 15psi at 4500-redline ....did a boost leak test and figured tb seals was leaking air... after install new seals.. boost peak is at 15-17ish at 3500prm but drops to 12-13 to redline.... check pipings and found lots of oil in LICP!! maybe turbo had blown seal in the first place??? any advices wuld be appreciated!!

You need to to a real boost leak set with the motor turned off. And listen for leaks.

yea first of all....ever since i bought da evo it was only boosting 16-17ish at 3500 and tapering to 14-15..... so i did lots of research ask friends that stock was suppose to boost 19-20 at 3500 and tapering to 16-17psi redline.... i believe... so they said it was a boost leak... first they said its the stock BOV.. bought a GFB stealth and installed but same prob....then they said its the stock IC clamps....bought all t-bolts and replaced em...still same prob.....so then bought all equipment for boost leak test and found out that air was leaking from the springs in TB... ordered new seals and replaced em just last week but now its losing more boost.... boosting 15 at 3500 and tapering to 12-13ish at redline..... just recently did another boost leak test but no major leak except from the cap that goes into the turbo after 20 psi of pressure.... i give up!!! any more suggestions/advices??

oh and yea engine alwase turned off during boost leak test... everything else is clamped tight!!

put the stock BOV back on, the GFB one is probablly leaking

tried that.... maybe im gonna go with skunk2's new 68mm TB and evo9 turbo and will see if prob still occurs cuz just received my taxes.....some friends said the turbo might be bad thats why it doesnt reach 19psi peak...

I tried a Skunk2 68mm and it leaked BAD! The worst part is Skunk2 told me that's what they consider "normal" for their throttle body. I returned that pile of billet junk for a Mil.Spec instead and that holds boost nice and tight
