low pad indicator inboard/outboard

I have searched but could not find a clear answer. Question is I installed pads n rotors but was not sure what side of the rotor the low pad indicator goes. Does it matter?

Please? anyone. I haven't moved the car since I thought maybe there is a particular side of the rotor the indicator goes on. Ya know the little tab that hits the rotor and makes that squeal when your pads need to be replaced.^^^^

Doesn't really matter if they went on with no interference with the little tab it shouldn't make any difference maybe less noise when they start to rub on the rotor.
