Under Hood Bushing - How to Remove
Under Hood Bushing - How to Remove
So I picked up the Buschur under hood bushing kit for the clutch.
Tried removing the stock rubber bushings but didn't get far.
These seem really tough to get out, is there a trick to removing them?
I don't want to mess up my cables in any way.
Thanks

The buschur instructions say use a screw driver, and that it's suppose to be very easy. Yeah it looked like I need a press to get these bad boys out.
Any suggestions at all on getting these stock bushings out?
Any comments on the Buschur bushings? Yay or Nay?

well i got the ams underhood bushings and i didn't use any tools just wear glove and pick out the cotter pins, slide them out and then match them up put them in and then back goes the pins and you are done. make sure its for the 5speed the bigger bushing is for the bottem cable which is 1st/3rd. and 5th gear. the top is for the 2nd and forth which is the smaller bushings. i know i am forgetting small details but yea thats all real fast and GL!!!!!
and don't! bend the lines because when shifting in&out of gears it will feel like shyt or even feel like its wants to pot out of gears or feels like it doesn't go in all the way, so just dont bend the cables.......hope that helps

I just did this and had the most trouble at the same point you are. I tried pushing but they wouldn't budge, I had to put a screwdriver down the hole and pry, while holding onto the outer ring. It was surprisingly easy considering I couldn't even get them to move any other way.
Good luck.
Good luck.
