Can we see some install pictures? I was actually staring at my dash the other day thinking this would work! But I thought it would look retarded with the controls tilted down, not up... but then I was driving another evo with the triple lower gauge pod... and they are tilted up... Not sure if you could manipulate them enough to fit properly, but it's an idea.
This is the piece I'm talking about:

Wow that's insane... What I don't understand is one of the last steps... When u slide the whole AC panel you sand the hell out of and put it into that little slot, the plastic peice just stays in there? You dont seal it up or anything?

I don't understand your question pirate. If your talking about the whole module behind it, then no no sanding is required, although you have to modify one if the brackets behind the dash to slide it down there. Don't know what your sealing either?
thanks for the how to. i followed every step and added some myself. worked out great, more than worth it if you have the time and the patience.
btw i found that using painters tape layered a few times creates a cleaner cut with the dremel, plus i was able to draw a guide line on the tape for the initial cuts.

also cut a piece of paper as a quick guide for the size, although the actual piece ended up a little bigger than the piece of paper.

Finished and painted flat black, will redo the finish in matte.

last tip, its something i have in mind for the near future. i find that some light leaks through the corners so i plan to get some really thin foam gasket things from home depot to seal the edges better.

So how hard is it to relocate the Hvac controls (Mechanics behind it) after you do the above steps. I would really like to see some info on how to complete the rest of it.
And than from here you essentially just buy the Double Din JDM top part and install is ready to go?
