Undertray removal?

Decided to change my trans fluid today. I have an MR, so it's 6-speed and has the aero lip thing on the undertray. Assumed I'd be fine using this write-up.

I jack the car up on four jack stands at each corner so it's level. I get under the car. Hmmm, awful lot of undertray. But the write-up doesn't mention doing anything to the undertray, so I proceed. I find a 24mm drain plug and 17mm fill plug and get them off. Not too much fluid comes out, and it's rather thick.

Back to evom. Oh, turns out I just drained my transfer case. Run to dealership and pick up DiaQueen. Fill it up (or at least I think I did, because the POS pump I bought at Murray's seemed to pull in more air than fluid each time), put car back down. Trans fluid not changed.

I've seen people here say you can change the trans fluid with the stock undertray in place. Maybe the MR is unique or something, but I really don't see how. And it seems there is no How To for removing the undertray.

Anyone?

I wish I had took pictures when I took my undertray off for you. I just started taking off every fastener that was on it and gently tugged here and there and kept finding more fasteners that I missed.

I'm about to change the engine, transfercase, transmission, and rear diff fluids. I know the undertray doesn't get in the way when you do an engine oil change, and you said you did the transfercase with it on, but is it in the way when you do the transmission?

It's not that much work to get the undertray off, I just want to allow myself more time to do it if I need to take the undertray off.
