Firewall Pass-thru

Well I thought people knew this, but I still see people having to drill thru the firewall. There is a passthru hole in the engine bay. If you look behind the left strut tower you will see a small rubber cap. It kinda hard to see, but its there. Its directly between the firewall and the left strut tower. Wires will have to be long to reach, but its better/safer then having to drill the firewall. I can take some pics if needed.

Well, Its pretty easy to find. It its hard to imagine WHERE this is. Print it out and go look at your car. You'll figure it out.

Thanks drtalon . This should be a sticky thread. I will be installing a boost meter soon and this looks to be an ideal spot to go through the fire wall.

So you take the glovebox off to reach this from inside the car?

Yes. The glovebox must be removed to gain access within the car.

yep, I used that hole for my boost gauge and EBC installs. It makes things really easy and there is still plenty of space left for a few more wires.

It's a good size hole but it fills up quickly if you're passing a 4GA battery lead through there. Are there any others? I'm hoping to install a gauge package this weekend and I'll need to pass alot of stuff through to the firewall.

Where does the factory boost meter go through the firewall?

Maybe I missed it as it was difficult to see things down there, but I had the carpet pulled up when installing my boost gauge and I checked this area for some pass through and found nothing.
