How hard is it to pull the manifold? Did you have to drop the turbo? Not sure if the EGT probe from the GReddy 52mm will fit in that spot....looks pretty deep.

it is real easy if you take your time and no you do not have to drop the turbo. the probe will fit and even if it doesn't you can shave down that part so it reaches the flow.

I did mine the way evomoto did there's . It was very simple and clean install, although it does get kind of hot Im in runner #2 6 inches away from the manifold gasket. I would not recommened you Crutch to do it with the greddy 52mm gauge the sensor is to short for that spot. I have the same unit and I drilled it into the middle of the runner and it fit perfectly dead center. The greddy sensor isnt to long to do it the other way. I read 500celsius(900f) at idle and 850celsuis(1500f) at full throtle. My greddy gauge is so responsive, as soon as I start my car it is already going up to operating temp .

Here is a Quot staight from Road Race. It is the same manner that I put all of the ones I do. I did it with my $1700 turbo and $800 O2 sensor inthe car. So it works.
VIA ROAD RACE SITE:
"A leaner mixture will give you more power by making more heat. Too much heat, and things start to melt. You need to find out what's going on inside the motor before it's too late. Your car will never feel so fast as when the pistons are just beginning to melt. Most people who install an EGT are amazed at how close to the edge they are running. This is a must if you are going to experiment. We install the temperature probe in the exhaust manifold to get the most accurate reading. We prefer to mount the probe in the runner for cylinder number one since it seems to run the hottest. The probe can be installed without removing the manifold by drilling the hole with the engine idling. This blows out the chips. You will need a 1/8" NPT tap."
(Took out some prices because of th rules)

This really works.

Also the Autometer probe is not as quick of reading as the Greddy ones or APEXi. Get a new probe from Turbo Trixs or Team Rip eng.

Autometer Competition Plus is one of the best probes out. It may not be a "import name brand" but it works perfectly.

When you reinstalled your exhaust manifold, what torque settings did you use?
