I can't get it to get out of initialization after getting it to the desired closing point. I hold it for 3 seconds but it never kicks out of initialization mode. What am I doing wrong?

 

I am having the same issue. I held it for 3 seconds once it closed but it didn't change anything. It still works the same. Goes back fine as long as I hold it back and when I close it it moves in like inch increments.
