evo 8 ssl sunroof issue

one day my sunroof started acting strange and i cant figure out why or what it is.
normally you can just tap the button back and it will open all the way automatically but now i have to sit there and hold the switch down to open it.
then to close it it moves in 2 inch increments and you have to keep hitting the button over and over to close it and the push in to tilt doesnt work at all.
anyone have this trouble?
what fixes it?

Sounds like a faulty switch. Have you noticed any other strange electrical problems?

Lubrication is what it needs. If the seal is very dry (use Armor all) it will stick. Also clean the track and lube the mechanisms.....it should free up a lot

That's the problem. I fixed it. Thanks guys. You just have to open it all the way then inch it forward until it closes. When it's fully closed hold the button forward. For 3 sec and everything will be initialiAzed.
