how to balance shaft removal ?

Look at the VFAQ, I'm pretty sure they take the pan off.

i saw the vfaq but they are doing it with the engine out of the car and replacing bearings. ok thanks for the help pan comes off today

In Evo8 is it possible to remove balance shaft without remove engine form car ? or install stub shaft ?
