evo IX's rear 02's have longer wires since they mount to the cat stock already. on VIII's, they're shorter since the 02 goes to the cat-back, hence the need to extend them.

Has anyone had issues with their O2 sensors going bad after using the UR test pipe for a long period of time?

I'm running a P0138 code running the UR Test pipe w ith the O2 sensor plugged into the oxygen bung. I will be trying this install process for putting in a new O2 sensor.

This is odd. My 02 sensor is on the catback anyway...(AMS)...so even if I had the EVO 8 it wouldn't need to be extended. What exhaust setup are you guys using that have this needing to be done?

the 02 sensor wires are longer on the IX than on the VIII.

I have a couple of question about the test pipe:

1. Is fluttering normal after the installation of the pipe.
2. Should the car turn off once turn on and not reving the engine to get it warm.
3. Should I get my car tuned if these are problems

Thanks in advance

yeah the rear o2 isnt on the test pipe on 2006 models, so this short wire issue is only for 2005 and older evo8's.
