FP wastegate actuator question

I recently purchased the 18 psi fp wastegate actuator part# FP90930. I took the old one off and went to install this one. As I put the two bolts on, I noticed that the wastegate actuator arm didnt match up to the flapper handle on the turbo, it was about 1.5 to 2 inches away from the flapper handle towards the engine in other words if your facing the front passenger tire the wga arm is 1.5 to 2 inches to the right of the flapper handle.. I would have to bend it towards the flapper handle for it to fit in. Is this normal? I know I'll have to twist the eyelid turnbuckle to adjust the length but thats not the problem. I just dont want to bend it that much and it snap on me. Thanks for the response in advance

Turn the rod that the turnbuckle is attached to.
