Sorry man, junk. I speak from experience. I have the IC pipes and intake. I only have them because I got a deal on a lot of parts from a friend when he put his car back to stock. The Injen emblems that are stuck or welded on are peeling up. The pipes are polished aluminum but look like crap. They are pitted and discolored. I'm not sure if my stuff came with the original couplers and clamps but the ones I have are junk. They are worm clamps and if they are original that is pathetic for the price this company charges for its parts. I replaced them with t-bolt clamps. Not to mention that nearly any other company offers pipes that will produce real gains. I'll be replacing the pipes with ETS pipes with the short route UICP soon now that I have relocated my battery to the trunk. Sucks you already bought them but live and learn. You can always upgrade down the road and sell your stuff on eBay and get some cash.

Edit: I almost forgot the best part. I had to replace a coupler twice because the UICP pipe meets with a coupler right above the clutch slave cylinder. I probably could have adjusted them better the first time but didn't notice that it rubbed a hole(big *** boost leak) in the coupler because it sits right on top of the bleeder valve for the slave cylinder and rubs from normal engine movement when driving.

I guess I'll just not open it and sell it when it arrives.

^Your better off contacting the company you bought them from and canselling the order, they can cancel shipping at any time and have them returned. If they give you a problem put up a fight, any good company will cancel it for you. Sorry for the bad news, you definitely should search a lot more before buying parts for your Evolution.

I've ordered an aftermarket licp.Just want to know, does it make a huge difference on spool-up and response etc?

If you want my O2 i've had the pipes on my car for about 30k miles already. Fitment has been great, no issues of the pipes blowing off at high boost even with worm clamps on the piping. You will def feel an improvement in performance if you go from stock to the whole intake/piping kit w/ a tune but the LICP will probably have power restrictions depending on how much power you want to run. I still have the intake/piping on my car running 26-32psi boost and i'm planning to change them out once I go with a built setup.

I've got the whole HKS intake and mushroom filter so i think the licp will def compliment the whole set-up.After that i'll dyno it again and check the improvement.

I didn't gain ANY spool up with the licp on my 9 turbo. I'm tellin you guys it's not to get power on a stock car, these upgrades really start to shine with bigger mods. If your car is stock and you expect to gain tons of power from ic pipes, look elsewhere. Unless you guys call 10-15hp "more power"

Not sure I agree with this... I made better power and had better spool on my 9. I made close to 380atw with stock airbox and just LICP and a tune..

You can have a nice LICP custom made for about $150. Gaining 15whp at that price is a nice cost-to-power ratio for those EVO owners on a budget build.

I would also submit that the larger the turbo and other supporting parts, the greater the benefit.

Is there a name for intake running from the turbo up towards the front bumper on the evo 7,8 & 9?

The UICP is the one that runs from the throttle body down to one side of the intercooler?

& the LICP is the lower driver side intercooler piping connecting ....?

Help would be appreciated...
