How to 2wd dyno an EVO
Previous DSM's needed a viscous coupler eliminator and THEN you can remove the driveshaft. The VCE took as little as 30min to install and created a 50/50 power split from front to rear. I haven't looked that closely at my Evo yet, but I'm sure it's a similar affair....but I don't believe it's quite as simple since I've noticed that it's taken 2hrs to convert. I don't imagine there is anyone selling the proper VCE yet either.
It takes longer with the EVO because the VCE goes in the tansfer case which also has the front axles coming out of it now. Whereas with a DSM it was as easy as popping the end cover off of the tranny and no axles involved. Same technique, different process.
