I took an old skinny Philips screwdriver and cut the tip off.

I'm talking about hammering them back in, but now that I think about it I should have used the phillips head with a hammer to get them back in... The videos/tutorials I watched all used the hammer head to hammer them back in, so I didn't even think about that

I guess this is a good excuse to paint my calipers a different color over the summer

Yeah, I guess sometimes people are pretty literal so when it says to 'hammer them back in' people will do just that.

I hold the Philips with my left hand up against the pin and then tap it with my the hammer in my right hand.

Don't worry though man, the paint won't effect performance!

I definitely lost 1hp...

I was really more afraid of corrosion, but it seems like I should be fine because they are made of oxidized aluminum.

lol sorry bro, tap in and use flat head blade against caliperto seat with caliper surface
