uhm... if you're not using the powerbleeder then just keep topping off. you really want a power bleeder though. don't suck it out cuz it'll suck air in when it gets low.

Alright, thanks man! Is there anything else I should keep in mind which the how-to from JOE250 didn't mention?

yes, after you finish the job and drive around, come back and refill the fluid.

I have the motive powerbleeder and it's fun using it every time.
Love how much time you save instead of having someone pump the brakes.
I also went to the local hardware store and picked up some clear tubing so i can see the color change.

Wow, I should have printed this out for my local Mitsubishi service department yesterday! They tried to send me on my way with a brake pedal that hit the floor! It took about five guys and multiple attemtps to bleed my brakes!

No it was under warranty! No wonder they don't like to honor warranty work. They don't know how to do them!

My 04 RS has the original brake fluid with about 10K miles. In preparation for the first time on the track with this car, I'm going to replace the fluid with high temp fluid. Does anyone know how much fluid you have to bleed out of the right rear before you've got new fluid coming through? I'm assuming that the old fluid will be clean and that I won't be able to tell. I'll be using a Motive power bleeder. I just don't want to leave any old fluid in there, but I also don't want to use more than 1 can of fluid if I don't need to.

Thanks!

I used a clear tube (found at local hardware store) connected to an empty water bottle to see the fluid color change

Your answer is earlier up in the thread; about 500ml; perhaps more to be safe.

Should be Left Rear, Right Front, Right Rear, Left Front

Not that I have done a JDM setup although following the writeup and what makes sense to me this should do it for you.

If you get a Phoneix Bleeder that does reverse bleed it really should not matter for you.
