Help! Half the lights on my instrument panel are out!
The fuel, temp and "Lancer" guage on my instrument panel are out . The Speedo and Tach guage light remain on. Could this just be a bulb in the panel? and will it be easy to replace?.....thanks

Do you mean the gauges still work but the backlighting is out? If thats the case its a bulb. There are two bulbs that illumintate the backlight, one for each half. The backlight is on everytime you start the car, not just when you turn on the head lights so they go much faster than other cars.
I had a similar problem when installing my boost guage. Check your fuses, I had one go out. For some reason, the fuse box connects a few cicuits together so it may not be something obvious. Mine was the rear passenger taillight fuse. Once that was replaced, all the other lights in the interior worked.
Just buy a $5 fuse tester to make things easier on you without having to pull the fuses to check them.

if the car is under warranty, just go to the dealer to replace the bulb..
BUT, you just have a bulb out, it takes about 15 minutes to remove the instrument cluster and replace the bulb, I went to the dealer and bought a handful of spare bulbs for the dash so I have spares for both types of bulbs commonly used in the instrument cluster.
BTW, there's a how-to specifically on how to remove the cluster, but its really easy.

Follow steps 1-6, part of step 9, and step 10. If you just want the factory bulbs to be a bit brighter...just remove the "gel/plastic" cover on it...
It's super easy.

Something else to think about, if you are dumb like me and you wired your boost gauge light into your dashboard dimmer switch, it is quite possible that you fried some bulbs.
I just removed my gauge cluster and two of my bulbs were FRIED. I rewired the boost gauge to the cigarette light in the center console and everything seems to be working fine now. I need to run by mitsu tomorrow and buy some replacement bulbs.
