Control Arm bolt stuck, any ideas?

I'm trying to install a tanabe lower arm bar and two points, as seen here, connect to the front control arm bolts. I can't get one of the contorl arm bolts off. I don't want to heat it up because I don't want to melt the bushing. Any ideas?

Thanks

if you cant get the bolt out try using an air hammer with a point bit in it then driving it out or a punch

If it is not stripped, soak it with some wd40 for a few hours, and use a breaker bar. BTW, when you get it installed, let us know if you felt a difference. I'm just curious.

if you use a little heat for 10sec then stop for the same some times that works and it will not damage the bushing

+1 Soak it in WD-40 for about 4 hours, then wipe it clean and soak it again overnight. Then get a breakerbar with an extension (a metal pipe or somethign), and spray with wd-40 again and take it out.

Just so you know, I just had mine done except I have the cuscu version and the bolt on the drivers side was the one that was stuck. The bolt ended up breaking with the bolt still stuck in the bushing. The stationary nut in the frame also broke loose. Luckily for me my mechanic knows what he is doing, he ended up having to cut out a section in the frame, fix the steel cage that allows the nut to stay put and weld it all back together. So hopefully yours comes out with a little less effort. Good Luck

If you're going to try penetrant don't waste time with WD-40 and go straight to PB Blaster. It's leaps and bounds beyond WD-40.
