Depending how bad it is you can buff it out. Sounding that the body shop is only saying 100 dollars for it, it doesnt seem that bad. I would get a a heavy cut and a light cutting compound and buff it. Using a wool pad and a foam pad.

Hey my wing is down to the fiber in some spots and chipping off. I know its horrible that its gotten that bad, but it shouldnt do that in the first place. Can anyone tell me how to get it recleared without tearing up the actual carbon fiber?

What I did was take a razor blade and scrape the clear off. It will flake off and make a horrible mess bit it won't harm the CF. I left it dry. I think it looks ok. I may send it in to get cleared again. Oh and it takes a very very very long time to scrape with the razer blade....just take your time.

Mine was horrible, one of the worst of seen (last year). I took it to a body shop and they just re cleared it. $100 doesn't sound too bad, just do it

Yeah mines pretty bad as well. I too recalled a thread discussing this matter and people describing the restore process.

Are there any threads on how to take apart the wing? My left upright was damaged and the whole wing was replaced two months after I bought the car. I'd like to swap the black part instead of refinishing. Please give me some pointers or show me a thread thanks!
