Rear brake rotors

I do not want to start pounding them just yet. How do you remove the rear brake rotors on an 03 evo viii? I bought some new rotors and had no problems with the front but the rear will not budge so I am thinking that maybe theres more to the rear because of the emergency brake system or something. The emergency brake is off and the caliper is off, but still will not move at all. Please let me know

ok I hit it with a BFRM thats a big f@#$%ing rubber mallet and it came off!!! Yeah
My question now is the little rubber stopper on the rotor how do you get it off without tearing it up?

Mine took some "persuasion" as well. Hammers are your friends.

I haven't taken the rotors off my evo just yet, but I'm pretty sure there is a threaded hole just like the front to push the rotor away from the hub. Just use a bolt carefully (so as not to strip the threads, which may have corroded over time). Sometimes unfortunately the threads fall apart and you're back to the hammer heh. Using the bolt makes rotor removal almost trivial. Many people don't even know the threads are there or what they're for though

When i tried with the bolt it actually broke some spring cup holder in the back. I can't seems to budge the rotor at all.
