gizzmo boost controller

I went out and bought the gizzmo ibc electronic boost controller.I installed it on my evo 9 rs the way the instructions mentioned, one vacuum hose running from the #1 port provided on the solenoid to the internal wastegate on my stock evo 9 turbo. The other hose runs from port #2 on the solenoid to the nipple that is located on the turbine side of the turbo, right before it attaches to the lower intercooler hose. After installing i proceeded to adjust the duty cycle and gain. Both of these settings were set to 10. I ran the car like it said and noticed the stock boost gauge only went up to like .64 bar. I continued with the adjustment for the duty cycle and increased it to 20,leaving the gain at 10 like the instructions said. After running the car i noticed the boost did not increase like it should have. Thinking the duty cycle was not set high enough i increased it to 30,40,and then 50. Neither of these increased the boost beyond the .64 bar i got earlier. What do you guys think is going on here.......i am pretty sure i got it hooked up right. Car is completely stock

Did you check for boost leaks?

i capped the nipples on the stock solenoid but that did not do anything. The solenoid still wants to open at like .6 bar everytime and in every gear. I also checked for boost leaks but came up with nothing. I dont know what to do next.

You said you adjusted duty cycle and gain. Did you actually raise the boost? 0.64 bar is around wastegate boost pressure.

ya, i raised the boost the way it says to do in the directions, throught the duty cycle adjustment. I checked the wiring from the controller to the solenoid and and everything seems plugged in along with all the vacuum lines. Still wants to open at .64 bar Does anyone on this forum have this controller and maybe be able to walk me through the setup process. I am missing a step somewhere along the line,
i Just know i am.

you have it plummed for a external wastegate. #3 port should go to boost source and #2 goes to waste gate actuator.

once you get it hooked up, leave your gain all the way down, adjust your duty till you hit the boost you want then raise your gain till your start getting a boost spike at full spool then back it down till there is little to no spike.

ya, that is how i have it hooked up. port #2 is going to my wastegate and port #3 is going to the nipple that is located on the turbine side, right before it hooks up to the lower intercooler. I might have said port #1 and #2 before but that was before i knew they referred to it differently in the manual. The way they have it hooked up in the manual is the way i have it hooked up. Port #1, the one with the screen inside is the only one not in use. sorry for the confusion

its like the boost conroller is not talking to the solenoid. I dont even get realtime boost after taping the top button on the controller. Instead the controller lights both blink for a few seconds and then it says OFF without giving me a realtime boost.

it should read real time boost without having to press anything. when its turned on the first number should be 1 through 6 for the boost memory then a second number should come up and show what highest boost press was. then just show 0.0, and be ready to read real time without having to press anything....are those number comming up when turned on?

ok, here is what is happening. When i turn on the boost controller and press the bottom button on the processing unit it then goes to the 1-6 boost memory menu. I can scroll through these numbers fine and it will show me what my max boost pressure was (.64 bar) depending on what memory i am running on. After it shows me this it will go to 0.00 Look at page 13 in the operators manual.......what are they talking about there? I get no realtime boost after pressing the top button like it says.
