Telltale signs
The evo on stands is an excellent specimen of a car that gets to play. Note the silver bottle of motul brake fluid. Probably the best stuff to put in your EVO brake"veins". Note the telltale "brown"bo front calipers which gracefully age with heavy braking. excellent examples of an EVO that gets to "play" the right way!

if your only going to be changing your own oil, you might as well get yourself a set of ramps. It's much easier than using a jack & stands for something where the entire car doesnt have to be in the air.

for oil change jack it from the front right on the lower engine brace...btw jacking the car from the side by the side skirts is a very bad idea cause you will start bending the thin metal, so i would not consider those jack points.

Great place to work on your car. Right next to the Haz-Mat cabinet.

Don't know about the evo 8, but evo 9 have these tabs that stick out below the frame where you can place the jack without damaging anything. Owners manuel will tell you exactly where though.

I just checked the owners manual and I couldn't find anything on it.

Here's the locations the service manual tells you to use:

I've never used the locations that OTown used but from the looks of it he knows what he's talking about.
