Just curious

I replaced my stock intake box with a TurboXS Short ram intake. I had to remove the metal bracket that holds the stock box in place so the new air filter would fit. This bracket also holds the intercooler pipe in place. Should I have completely removed that bracket or just modified it so it would still secure the intercooler piping? I don't see much movement in the piping now but will it move more over time?

Most of the aftermarket IC pipe kits have no mounting points like that anyway. They are just extra security to make sure the pipe stays in place, btu the pipes really have no issue staying put - they aren't heavy.

I run the Injen upper intercooler piping, and it comes with a mounting bracket. I don't even use it. You'll be fine, no worries
