How To Change Rear Axle Boot?

Looking to change my rear axle boot due to leaking grease all over inside of the rim. Cant seem to find any write ups, does anybody know the steps?

Any info would be great!!

It's not too bad...check here for what you need:

And then you need to pack it w/ greese and you will sometimes need one of those clamp tools to snap the clamps down around the boot.

if you have oreilly auto near you they sell the boots, clamps, grease, and crimp tool all for cheap. should be less that $50

I purchased the boot kit from the dealer, was right about 50 bucks for everything. I went ahead a tackled the project was a little more then i thought it would be. Basically dropped the whole control arm off, pulled the hub towards me, and pulled out the axle! For this the axle does need to come out, don't fight yourself trying to replace the boot, clamps, and grease while its still attached.

Yah, just did this and i wish i would have got the tools before i started would of been way easier. don't want to have to do it again lol
