Well i have been having this problem for a week now, but just today i might have figured it out. The car wont start it has fuel spark and air. If i Unplug the maf it starts and idles and all that. I didnt try to move it.

Would that mean its the maf sensor?

Anyone in nj around the 08802 area code so i can test theirs out real quick to make sure thats it before i spend more money on it when its not the problem?

 

And i did a boost leak test.

Might be your MAF, I had a friend had a similar problem with slightly different symptoms. I swapped his MAF with mine and the problem went away. When you unplug it it's probably defaulting to a setting and letting your car run but with it plugged in it might be flooding the plugs or providing some other incorrect reading to prevent the engine from starting. Best bet see if you can swap with a friend rear quick. GL

 

Finally thank you. I'm gonna try. cause i dont know what else it can be. cleaned injectors, new fuel pump, flushed fuel system, swapped injectors, tried a map sensors only thing i can think of is the maf or fuel pressure regulator. but the maf unplugged kinda makes me think its the maf.

 

If it starts with the MAF all disconnected and stuff it shouldn't be the fuel regulator or anything like that I believe. It's sounds like the MAF screwing with settings for a cold start!

In warren county nj. i just tried to put the new one i got on and still nothing. but i also didnt mess with it much. im gonna try again tmro and see if it goes.
