Question need help! safc2 removal + tune

finally getting around to removing the safc2 (hey it has only been a few months since I got mine, get off me), and I also have a friend with an evo9 who has the knowledge and software to tune my evo.

problem is, I dont know where to start. Is there anything I should do before I even start poking around? Is my evo going to be OK in between the time I take it out and the time I get it tuned? I figured better safe than sorry so ive been holding off for a while and trusting that since the existing setup has been pretty hood this whole time that id be ok taking my time.

basically APEXI S-AFC2 removal

any help or advice is appreciated

Take your time and make sure you reconnect the maf signal wire. The safc2 acts as a bridge ....obviously

What do you guys think i could sell it for? I am sure it would be useful to somebody with a late 90's rice grinder with an ecu that is less friendly.

I think these were closer to like $300 when they were newer, but now maybe like $100? $50? idk what do u guys think

Honestly? Its worth next to nothing. When I pull mine im prob just tossing it. Even rice hondas are going bigger these days using hondata s300. Not to mention the safc 2 isn't even the newest version of it ( the neo is the newest).
